How do I program several SIWAREX WP521/WP522 in one project ?
The WP521/WP522 configuration package include ready for use example projects for
one WP521-ST and for one WP522-ST. The projects are available for different TIA
Portal versions.
This TIA Portal ready for use projects have been developed to connect several scales to
a 1500-CPU which is connected to a panel, it has been developed for use with TIA
Portal V15.1 and newer.
For tag multiplexing a comfort panel is used (KTP basic panel do not support the
functions that is used)
Classic CPU’s S7-300, S7-400 and ET200S are not supported in the project
Follow this procedure to handle the project:
1. Add the Siwarex WP521 and/or WP522 in the HW configuration and note the start
address of each WP521 module.
2. Open the FB "WP52x_Mul_call"and the expand the array length of " ArrayLenghtMax”
Set the array length according to the number of channels, WP521 one channel and
WP522 two channels, in your HW configuration. Pay attention the value is calculated as
a zero offset (if there is one channel the value is 0..0, if there are 5 channels the value is
0..4)
3. For WP522 only: Each channel has its own DR. For Channel B set the default value of CHN
to 1. -Recompile the FB “WP52x_mul_call”.
4. Open the DB ”WP52x_mul_Call_DB” Set the number from each module adress in the
“ADDR” in the array of the WP52xDR[x]. Compile then download HW and SW to the PLC.
5. HMI-Part: Copy and paste the HMI tag table “WP52xArray[0]”. Rename the new tag table
to “WP52xArray[1]”, “WP52xArray[2]” etc. (in the brackets write the array number for
each WP52xE.G. [Array number]
6. Open each tag table and use “Task” to find and replace Names
7. Open each tag table and use the same procedure “Task” to find and replace PLC Tag
8. Open Screen “0.0.0_Scale_View_1”. Copy and insert new Faceplates, eventually create a
new screen if using more than 4 scales
9. Link or re-wire tags in the instance of the faceplate to the new tags.
Note: Find & Replace is not helpful here, best is to edit directly in the text.
10. For each faceplate: Set or changes the value of Tag “indexpointer” and of each Tag
11. If several screens for faceplates are used then adjust the screen number for screen
navigation control.

For a correct error reporting, don’t forget to give a name to each scale during
parameterization.
