engagement in physical activity, dietary habits, mental well-
being, and overall health behaviors. The study aimed to
gather insights into how lifestyle choices impact health and
wellness, identify areas of concern, and provide
recommendations for improvement.

Key Findings

- A significant portion of respondents engage in physical


activity 1-2 times a week, with walking/jogging and yoga
being the most common activities.
- Many individuals spend 5-8 hours being inactive daily,
contributing to a sedentary lifestyle.
- Mental well-being scores varied widely, with most
participants rating their mental health between 6-8 on a scale
of 10.
- Stress and anxiety were commonly reported, with nearly
40% experiencing these feelings a few times a week.
- A majority of participants have access to healthcare, but
many only visit for treatment when unwell, rather than for
preventive care.
- Sleep habits showed that most individuals get 6-8 hours of
sleep per night, though some reported less.

Summary of Conclusion and Recommendations


The survey revealed that many individuals engage in physical
activity infrequently and have sedentary lifestyles, which can
contribute to long-term health risks. Mental health concerns,
such as stress and anxiety, were prevalent. It is
recommended to promote regular physical activity, improve
sleep quality, encourage preventive healthcare visits, and
raise awareness about lifestyle-related health risks to improve
overall wellness.
Introduction

Health and wellness are critical components of an


individual's overall quality of life, encompassing physical,
mental, and emotional well-being. In an era where sedentary
lifestyles and unhealthy habits are becoming increasingly
common, understanding people's perspectives and practices
regarding health and wellness is essential for identifying
gaps and promoting healthier living. This report presents the
findings of a comprehensive survey conducted to explore
various aspects of health and wellness among individuals.
The survey sought to gain insights into their habits, attitudes,
and challenges in maintaining a healthy lifestyle.

Importance of Health and Wellness

Health and wellness are foundational to leading a fulfilling


and productive life. They not only enhance physical stamina
and resilience but also improve mental clarity, emotional
stability, and social relationships. Maintaining good health
reduces the risk of chronic diseases, improves life
expectancy, and promotes overall happiness. Moreover,
wellness practices such as exercise, balanced nutrition, and
stress management play a significant role in fostering a
sense of purpose and satisfaction in life.
Objectives of the Report
The primary objectives of this report are:
1. To analyze current trends and behaviors related to physical
activity, nutrition, and mental well-being.
2. To identify common barriers and motivators for maintaining
health and wellness.
3. To assess awareness levels regarding health risks and
preventive measures.
4. To provide actionable insights that can guide individuals and
communities toward healthier lifestyles.

Survey Methodology
The survey was conducted among a diverse group of
participants using an online questionnaire. A total of 13
questions, both multiple-choice and scaled-response, were
designed to capture a holistic view of the participants' health
and wellness practices. We collected a total of 80
responses.The survey covered key areas such as physical
activity, dietary habits, mental health, healthcare access, and
lifestyle awareness. The data collected was analyzed to
identify patterns, correlations, and areas of concern.
Participant anonymity was maintained to ensure honest and
accurate responses.

This report will delve into the responses and present findings
that highlight the state of health and wellness among the
surveyed population, offering valuable insights for individuals,
policymakers, and health professionals.
Disscussion

1. Age of People filling out this survey.

88% of peoples are between


the age of 18-25. 8% of
peoples are between age of
10-18 and remaining 4%
includes people above age
of 25.

2. Gender of the Respondent.

We can observe Male


participated more in the
survey with a number of 60%
and Females with a number
of 38.7%.Remaining chose
their gender as others.
3. Occupation of Respondent

We got responses from


several people of different
occupations.. Most of the
responses came from
Students (92%)
followed by working
professionals
(6%) and home makers
(2%).

4. .How often do you engage in physical


activity or exercise?
Most of the respondents
exercise on regular basis
(30.7%). 24% of the
respondents rarely do any
kind of exercise. 20% of
them exercise 3 to 4 times a
week and 8% do no exercise
at all.
5. Type of physical activity
51.9% people opted
walking and jogging.
19.5% go to gym whereas
13% play team sports.
Remaining 15% perform
activities like dancing,
yoga, archery etc.

6. Average time of inactivity

Majority answered that they


spend 2-4 hours sitting or
being
inactive(33.8%).Approx 28%
of people spend less than 2
hours being inactive
whereas 13% spend more
than 8 hours being inactive
which is concerning.
7.Do you track your calorie intake or
macronutrients?
73.4% do not track
their calories whereas
only 26.6% people
count their calories
and macros.
8.How often do you consume the following
on a scale of 1 to 5? (Sugary drinks fast
food or takeout)

We can observe that 29.5% people consume fast food on an


average and 12.8% consume it on a regular basis.

9. Do you follow a specific diet or eating plan?

69.2% responded that they


do not follow any kind of
diet or plan where 30.8%
follow such plans.

10. How often do you feel stressed or anxious?

Mostly people get


anxious a few times a
week (35.4%)
which is really a
concerning matter.
11.On a scale of 1–10, how would you rate your
overall mental well-being? (1 = Poor, 10 = Excellent)

22.5% people have answered that they have excellent mental


health wheres 6.3% answered as very poor. We can observe
that majority answered between 7-10 the scale.

12.Amount of sleep

52.5% of people get 6-8


hours of sleep which is a
good amount whereas 5%
people get less than 4 hours
of sleep. Also 27.5 % of
people answered that they
get 4-6 hours of sleep.

13.Do you have access to health insurance or medical


care?

63.7% off people do not


have access to health
insurance and only 36.3
% of people have it.
Conclusion
The survey conducted on Health and Wellness revealed significant insights
into individuals' lifestyle habits, health perceptions, and motivations for
maintaining well-being. The responses to the survey questions showcased
a wide variation in health practices and awareness levels among
participants.

1. Physical Activity: While a significant proportion of respondents engage in


regular physical activity, a notable group exercises less than three times a
week or rarely participates in any physical activities. Walking/jogging
emerged as the most popular form of exercise.

2. Sedentary Behavior: Many respondents reported spending 5–8 hours or


more being inactive daily, highlighting a need for lifestyle adjustments to
combat prolonged inactivity.

3. Diet and Consumption Habits: High consumption of sugary drinks and


fast food was reported by several participants, suggesting the importance
of promoting balanced diets.

4. Mental Health: The overall mental well-being of respondents showed an


average to good range, but frequent stress or anxiety episodes were
prevalent among some individuals.

5. Sleep Patterns: A significant portion of participants reported getting 6–8


hours of sleep nightly, which aligns with recommended sleep guidelines,
although some fell short.

6. Health Awareness and Motivation: Most participants demonstrated


awareness of potential health risks. Maintaining health for personal and
familial reasons was a common motivator.
Implications of the Findings:

1. Public Health Campaigns: The results underline the need for targeted campaigns
promoting physical activity, reducing sedentary time, and adopting healthier eating habits.

2. Mental Health Support: Addressing mental well-being through stress


management workshops and awareness programs can be a crucial step in enhancing
overall wellness.

3. Preventive Care Engagement: Increasing awareness about the benefits of


regular check-ups could encourage proactive health management.

4. Policy and Workplace Initiatives: Encouraging ergonomic work environments


and implementing workplace wellness programs may help reduce sedentary behaviors.

Overall, the survey emphasizes a growing need to bridge gaps in health awareness,
address behavioral patterns, and foster a holistic approach to wellness
across communities.
