Guidelines for Preparation a Project Work/ In-Plant Training Report
(Note: Project Work/ Report is applicable for those students who undertake any
special project given by the concerned industry during In-Plant Training)
1. General Instructions
A. On completion of Project Work / In-Plant Training, a report is to be
prepared.
B. One soft copy of the report to be prepared and submitted for the checking.
If the report declared satisfactory/ok by guide/supervisor /teacher/
program coordinator (course in-charge) then at least 3 hard bound copies
of the final report have to be submitted for evaluation.
C. Out of three copies, one for concerned supervisor/ guide/teacher/
program coordinator (course in-charge), one for Library and one copy is to
be retained by the student.

3. Sequence of writing the Report
The sequence in which report material to be arranged should be followed as:
a) Cover Page / Tittle Page: A specimen copy of cover page/ Tittle page of
the report is given in Annexure –I.
b) Certificate: The training certificate is to be attached wherever the
students has undertaken the Project Work/ Training in an Industry. A
specimen is given in Annexure IIA (CIPET) & IIB (Industry).
c) Declaration:Self declaration by the student that the work done that my
Project Report/ Training is original and authenticated. A specimen copy is
given in Annexure III (In-Plant Training).
d)Acknowledgement:A specimen copy is given in Annexure-IV (In-Plant
Training).
e)Table of content: A specimen is given in Annexure V
f) Chapters: The main text will contain the details of Project Works/ Training.
It shall be divided into several chapters and each chapter may further
divided into sections and subsections. Chapters, Sections and subsections
should be given appropriate tittles. The division into chapters may vary
from project to project / Training. Every chapter must begin on new page.
The following are suggested chapters and what they could contain.
 Chapter -1: Introduction (About the Industry – detailed description)
 Chapter-2: Important machineries handled with specification (name,
manufacturer, model, capacity, specification etc…)
 Chapter -3: Methods/ Materials used during project work/ training
 Chapter -4: Details of work
 Chapter -5: Result, Discussion and Learning Outcomes.
 Chapter -6: Conclusion
Note: Figures, Images and Tables shall be given in suitable position.
