Sitting in front of the TV and wasting time with

all its stuff is not something I really love to

deal with in my daily routine. Watching movies
or whatever happens to be on TV isn't really
my thing. I was never much of a TV person,
until one day, my pregnant wife pulled the
"womb’s demand" card and forced me to sit
down with her. Of course, I surrendered. How
could I argue with a baby I hadn't even met
yet?

A little boy with striking yellow hair screamed

like a maniac, running around like he was
allergic to logic. I swear, I was trapped in
some alien dimension where everything moved
at warp speed.

Then suddenly, "Rasengan!"

My wife cheered with enthusiasm,

synchronized perfectly with that crazy kid’s
whirlwind attack. I, on the other hand, was
counting the minutes to escape.

But, as fate would have it, my nightmare didn’t

end there—instead, it evolved into something...
unexpected.

Fast forward to today, and here I am,

hopelessly addicted to watching that wild little
ninja who’s now the big boss of Hidden Leaf
Village—Hokage. Yep, I’m talking about
Naruto. A Japanese animated series by
Masashi Kishimoto.

In a nutshell, it follows the story of Naruto
Uzumaki, a young ninja who wants to prove his
worth and dreams of becoming Hokage, his
village’s leader. But life isn’t exactly easy for
him. His parents died the night he was born,
and to make matters worse, his dad—who, by
the way, was the Hokage at the time—sealed a
giant monster inside baby Naruto as a final act
before he died. I mean, talk about inheriting
baggage.

Growing up with a beast inside him wasn’t

exactly a confidence booster. Society? Yeah,
they weren’t exactly rolling out the welcome
mat for him. He was feared, shunned, and
treated like he had a permanent “stay away”
sign on his back.

But instead of moping around (well, mostly),

Naruto channeled that rejection into pure
determination. He wanted to prove to the
village that he wasn’t just a walking time bomb
—they needed him. He wanted to become
someone who mattered and, more than
anything, someone they could rely on.

And after years of trials, tribulations, and—

well—some insane ninja battles, Naruto finally
managed to prove his worth. Not only did he
become an integral part of the village, but he
even saved it multiple times from terrifying
enemies. Oh, and did I mention? He finally
became Hokage—the guy.

One of my favorite parts of the whole series is

the emotional farewell between Lady Tsunade
and Master Jiraiya. It’s a bittersweet moment,
the kind of parting where no words are needed
but everything is said. The connection between
these two—her as the “Legendary Slug
Princess” and him as the wise “Perverted
Sage”—it just hits you right in the feels. It's
the kind of moment that reminds you of things
long forgotten, of goodbyes never spoken.

Now, the story continues with Naruto’s son,

Boruto, in his own series. But honestly, here I
am, still glued to my screen, waiting for the
next installment of Naruto’s story to magically
pop up. With every episode, I’m spinning my
own theories in my head.

Yeah, I’m that far gone. Addicted? Probably.

So... Let’s watch Boruto?
