About the Workshop:


Structural Dynamics is a well-established subject and common to Aerospace, Civil and
Mechanical Engineering. On the other hand, Aeroelasticity is a specialized field in Aerospace
domain and fairly well advanced. The fundamentals of the subject are based on Structural
Dynamics and Unsteady Aerodynamics. The comprehensive study on Aeroelasticity also requires
various numerical techniques including application of general-purpose software packages. The
objective of the workshop is to bring together the specialist from Academia, Industry and R&D
establishment and share knowledge and expertise for the betterment of our activities in the field.

Who would benefit?

Practicing engineers from industry, university/college faculty, researchers in the field of Structural
Dynamics and Aeroelasticity. The workshop will also provide an overview and recent trends in the
broad area of SD&AE to UG and PG Students in Aerospace, Mechanical and Civil Engineering.

About IIAEM
IIAEM is a collaborative venture between JAIN (Deemed-to-be University), SIATI, and leading
Aerospace organizations, an initiative never attempted by other Universities. IIAEM has received
overwhelming support from academic institutions, Defense R&D laboratories and reputed
organizations – like ISRO, HAL, AAI, NAL, Air India, Jet Airways, BIAL, CIAL and many others.
Besides involving itself in cutting edge research, the Institute is striving to generate a pool of
technical manpower skilled in Aircraft Design, Avionics, Aircraft Maintenance Engineering, Airport
Infrastructure & Aviation Management at the UG, PG and Research levels. Within the next few
years, the IIAEM is poised to develop into a world-class institution for aerospace research and
education

About CVS
Council of Vibration Specialists (a non-profit organization (first of its kind in the country exclusively
on Vibration) has been formed by some expert professionals dedicated to Vibration Science and
Engineering, both from academia and industry, in order to scale up the reach of this inter
disciplinary specialization There could be need to address design reviews/reengineering in
systems/ components from the site experiences of vibration induced flaws, to bring an awareness
in every industry on huge energy savings possibilities from machines with undesired high vibration
and to speed up the vibration diagnostics and prognostics mechanism to a higher level of accuracy
through the effective management of vibration knowledge, empowering the engineers with
necessary world-class skills and theoretical inputs along with specialized certifications on
Vibration.

About SIATI
The Society of Indian Aerospace Technologies & Industries (SIATI) has made pioneering efforts
in bringing industry, R&D centers both in India and abroad together to enhance self-reliance in
aerospace technology and manufacturing. In addition to major aerospace players, it has now
about 300 small, medium and largescale private industries engaged in development and
manufacture of aircraft structures, systems/equipment.
