2. Opening view layout
Once logged in you will be greeted with the opening view. Most elements of the
software are stable and will not change even when you switch between functions.
The area named as “Dashboard” is a so-called reactive zone, that will change
depending on which function you are using.

Contains all your personal and organizational saved data (phrases, macros etc).
- The contents of the library are arranged numerically and there after alphabetically.
- Each library will have users own “My Files” main folder that contains two primary
subfolders, which cannot be altered, these are “My Phrases” and “My Macros”
respectively.
- Should you belong to an organization, they might have their own folder “organization
name” on the same level as “My Files” folder under which you will find all their stored
data.
- You can create subfolders into the two primary subfolders (my phrases and macros)
to help you organize all your content.
- Right clicking a folder will open up a number of possible actions:
o Creating a subfolder
o Renaming the selected folder
o Deleting the selected folder (Deleting a folder will also delete all of its content.
This action is irrecoverable)

Step 3. You select the type of action you wish to happen first from the “Type” column

1. Text – Into this row you may write anything you wish the macro to write out for you
in the future. Double clicking the text row will open a larger text editor for
convenience should you have a larger text body to handle. Alternatively, this can
be done by the expand option in the add column button (picture 5.1 No. 5)
2. Phrase – You may either type or drag and drop a phrase from your My Phrases
library. The program will execute the selected phrase.
3. Delay – You can add a delay to your command chain. Delays are in milliseconds
(ms). For clarification 100 ms = 0.1 seconds and 1000 ms = 1 second.
4. Keys – This will save all your keypress events into the row. Once selected you can
either double click the row or press “Start recoding” button (picture No. 4), which
will take you to the recording view (below).
Picture 5.2
14
The keys recording view (picture 5.2).
The recording view can be entered by two ways. Firstly, by double clicking a keys row in
the “New Macro” view or secondly clicking the “Start recording" button (picture 5.1 No.
4 or picture 5.2 No. 5).
Once clicked the program will be in an active recording state. Until you click the same
button, which has conveniently changed its name to “Stop recording”.
In this view each keypress (press down and release) is recorded in the order you have
pressed them. Also, the delays between the key events are preserved. During the
recording process this is not visible but will be made so after you press the “Stop
recording" button.
- You can move the components of your recorded events via the move column
(picture 5.2 No. 4).
- You can select components of your recorded events vie the select column

(picture 5.2 No. 8).
- You can discard any changes (in case of editing an existing macro) by
pressing the “Discard changes” button (picture 5.2 No. 6).
- You can save the recorded key events by pressing the “Accept” button
(picture 5.2 No. 9).
- Remember that the first (to start recording) and last (to stop recording)
mouse events will be also recorded in the macro, these should be removed to
avoid mouse clicks to the corresponding coordinates when activating the
macro in the future.
Once accept it pressed you will be returned to the “New Macro” view again (picture 5.1).
Step 4. Save your Macro by clicking the save button in the bottom right corner (picture

by clicking the virtual keyboard keys or by pressing the buttons on your keyboard.

- To empty a keymap binding slot simply click it twice or thrice depending on
whether you’re viewing a different keymap or have the same keymap
selected.
The virtual keyboard active view is brought up by pressing “left ctrl + shift” and also
minimized with the same command.
This command also acts as a stop function similar to the actual stop button in the top
should you ever trigger a macro event accidentally or in the wrong place.
You can drag the view to anywhere you wish on your screen. The Orange Virtual
keyboard bar at the top will always be fully visible, even when the transparency is set to
max.
18
7. Search function
The search function is located in the very top of the software user interface. You can
naturally search for phrases and macros, but in addition to this you can even search for
key words and the search engine will display the macros or phrases the word in
question is being used in.
Picture 7.1.

8. Floating Island
The Floating Island is by nature a always on top island. It can be moved around the
screen wherever it is most convenient.
- This island enables the user to change languages of saved phrases on the fly
by pressing the language quick select buttons, the one selected will be with a
dark background.
- Should the chosen Macro (containing a phrase) or Phrase not have anything
saved under the language option currently selected, activating this function
via the virtual keyboard will do nothing.
- Additionally, the “RIDA” logo is a panic STOP button for the program that will
halt any ongoing processes when pressed.

9. General tips and tricks
In this section we will compile different tips and tricks to help you get the most out of our
software solution with minimal effort and maximal gain for a gargantuan effect on
whatever it is you wish to achieve.
We recommend making unique names for your personal stored content. This is to
avoid possible naming overlap with any organizations you might work with in the
future that are using our software solution.
Example:
You have made a personal phrase and named it “Hello”. You join an organization
that is using RIDA software, they have thousands of phrases, one of which is
“Hello”. Thus, to avoid this issue you can personalize your content i.e. adding a
less common letter in front of your personal stored data “zhello”.
Alternatively you can also use the “.hello” method. This is our preferred choice.
- Making Macros
With macros a lot depends on the end program you’re making them to. If the
program can keep up with a near instant delivery of commands, then there are no
problems, however most programs require a split-second break when loading up
content lists or new pages. Therefore, it is important to recognize areas where you
might have to add a small delay in the command chain, so that the end program
can keep up to avoid any unwanted outcomes.
Macros work best when used to fulfil a specific section of a larger event, while it is
possible to macro out an entire days’ worth of work this is considerably harder and
susceptible to failure than splitting the automation into smaller processes.
Splitting up your macros into sections when creating them is also helpful should
you have to come back to it and change something. For example, if your using a
macro command in program X to search and pick a certain item from a list and the
program X changes the contents of this list, you might have to redo this part of your
macro again. In this case it will be much easier to update the macro if its split into
multiple parts (their respective lines) in the macro editor (ie opening the list,
finding the product, selecting it and further functions).

- Saved data
Once you’ve made phrases, macros or keymaps the data will be stored at:
C:\Users\[username]\Documents\Gargantuan Medical Solutions\RIDA
Should you work on multiple computers we recommend storing the files
(KeymapLibrary, MacroLibrary, PhraseLibrary) in this folder to a usb-drive or
alternatively save them in a could or send them via email to yourself so you can
easily add your created libraries to other computers/workstations where you have
or will install RIDA software.
This brings us to the end of this user manual for the time being. More is coming and this
comprehensive guide will be updated as new functions become available.
If you really made it this far, The CEO of GMS corporation (picture 10), thanks you for
reading our user manual!
