Course Description:
The Computing and Information Technology Course provides information, knowledge, and
practical skills to significantly enhance their proficiency in both understanding and effectively
working with computers. This course is aligned with the main objectives of 2030 Vision, focusing
on incubating innovative projects.
Course outcomes
Knowledge and Understanding
CO1. Explain fundamental concepts of Information & Communication Technology (ICT) and
explore its wide-ranging applications.
CO2. Understand the peripheral devices, computer systems, and different software types.
CO3. Explore data communication principles, computer network fundamentals, and gain insight
into various data storage units, including backup and restore processes.
CO4. Compute numerical values across different number systems, transitioning from source to
target systems. Additionally, understand the basic principles of Data Science.
CO5. Outline the basic principles Digital Technologies, including Artificial Intelligence (AI) and
Machine Learning (ML), Internet of Things (IoT) and 5G, Cybersecurity, Virtual Reality
(VR) and Augmented Reality (AR), and Blockchain technology
Skills:
CO6. Acquire practical skills in utilizing text processing tools, creating engaging presentations
with PowerPoint, and effectively working with spreadsheet programs.
CO7. Use e-learning platforms and engage with distance education systems to enhance remote
learning capabilities.
