USES Resistance
Floortech TLE is designed for use on tank interiors, Humidity ASTM D-4585 Excellent
exteriors and various storage and containment vessels Resistance
(steel and concrete). Resists petroleum products Exterior exposure loss Very Good
(crude, sour crude, diesel fuel, hydraulic fluids, etc.) loss of gloss and color/
fading for epoxy coating
brine and other salt solutions, detergents and lubricants.
Shows good resistance to 20% HCL in the presence of Hardness ASTM D-3363 5B at 7 days
aromatic solvents (Xylene,etc.). Ideal for oil field tanks.
Application temp +5°C to +40°C
Recommended for use on structural steel, tank interiors,
pipes, concrete floors and block walls. The coating has Service temp +5°C to +70°C
excellent resistance to a wide range of chemicals.

• Excellent resistance to solvents and seawater Floortech TLE is supplied in pre-measured packs.
• Chemical abrasion resistant Base and hardener should be stirred separately before
mixing. Transfer Base (Part A) into the mixing container,
mix for a minute then add the hardener (Part B), mix well
PRODUCT INFORMATION using a slow speed drill machine with mixing paddle.
COMPONENT Two Components Mix for at least 2-3 minutes to get a homogenous mix.

GENERAL INFORMATION
Shelf Life 12 months from date of manufacture when THICKNESS
stored under warehouse conditions in original Minimum of 400 microns in two coats
unopened packing. Extreme temperature/humidity may
reduce shelf life.
SURFACE PREPARATION
TECHNICAL INFORMATION Concrete: Surface must be dry, clean and free from
release agent, curing compound, dirt, grease oil, dust
Chemical ASTM D543 Resistance to various and loose concrete particles. Used appropriate surface
Resistance chemical like mild alkalis, preparation equipment such as shotblast, scarifier or
fuels, acids, etc. grinder to achieve sound substrate.
Prior to the application of each coat, the surface should
be examined for signs of pinholes, cavities, etc. where
pinholes are evident, these should be filled using
Powerfix EPP.

Steel: The base metal should be abraded and


preferably shotblasted with grit. Where shotblast is
impractical pre-treatment may be carried out with tap
hammers, rotary wire brushes or a strong detergent is
advisable to ensure surface is free from grease, oil,
paint and other contaminant.

PRIMING FOR CONCRETE


• Primer should be applied with stiff, brush, roller or
airless spray
• If the substrates are extremely porous, two coats of
primer are highly recommended
• Let the primer cured for 24 hours

APPLICATION
• Apply the first coat of Floortech TLE using suitable
squeegee, stiff nylon brush or roller.
• Let dry for at least 6 hours before the application of the
next coat
• Apply the next coat of Floortech TLE using a nap roller.
The final coat should be applied at right angles to the
first coat to achieve the desired dry film thickness.

Note:
• Make sure that the required application rates are
achieved to ensure the required thickness per coat.
Minimum of 2 coats should be applied to obtain a very
good performance.
• For large areas of water tank where coating is
expected to undergo high pressure, it is recommended
to apply three coats.

LIMITATIONS
• Pot life will be reduced at higher temperature.
• Floortech TLE cannot be applied to areas exposed to
direct sunlight.

CURING
The material should be left to cure for 7 days after
completion.

CLEANING
Clean all equipment and tools with water immediately
after use.
