1.1 Introduction
Jumeirah Group (formerly known as Jumeirah International), is an international luxury hotel
chain and part of Dubai Holdings; a collection of leading Dubai-based businesses and projects,
which is owned by Dubai Government. Jumeirah was founded in 1997 with the goal of becoming
the world leader in hospitality through establishing a world class portfolio of hotels and resorts.
They have accomplished this feat in a short amount of time. Jumeirah has become an influential

Burj Al-Arab

2.1 Introduction to the Hotel

Burj Al Arab has been recognized as one of the finest hotels in the world and offers the ultimate
in luxury accommodation. Guests staying in this hotel are treated to the highest levels of
personalized service in the most luxurious surroundings imaginable. All this luxury doesn’t come
cheap, of course. The Burj Al Arab is one of the world’s most expensive hotels. A stay in this
luxurious hotel will range in price from two to seven thousand U.S. dollars a night. Just getting
inside the doors for a tour of the Burj Al Arab costs approximately one hundred and fifty U.S.
dollars. A great deal of the United Arab Emirates current economy is dependent upon
international tourism. The Burj Al Arab has become the city’s definitive icon; it is now to Dubai
what the Eiffel Tower is to Paris.

• Burj Al-Arab is considered the only seven star hotel in the world. Officially, it has a five

• The Burj Al-Arab was completed in 1999 at an estimated cost of eight hundred forty
million U.S. dollars
• It is located on an artificial island 280 metres from the shores of the renowned Jumeirah
beach. The hotel was built on its own island so that it could be very close to the beach but
not cast any shadow over the sun bathing beach goers

Jumeirah Beach Hotel is a 5-star hotel in Dubai, United Arab Emirates that opened in 1997. The
hotel was inspired by the Arabian seafaring tradition, its external shape echoing the form of a

4.1 Location
Jumeirah Emirates Towers is located on Sheikh Zayed Road in the centre of Dubai’s commercial
business district, in between Dubai International Financial Centre (DIFC) and Dubai
International Convention Centre and Exhibition Halls, and is a highly visible statement of the
region’s corporate success.

4.2 History
Construction of the iconic towers commenced in 1996, following the designs of architect Hazel
Wong, with the hotel doors officially opening in April 2000.

4.3 Structure and Exterior Design

Comprising of two equilateral triangles, Jumeirah Emirates Towers is a unique architectural icon
of Dubai, inspired by traditional Islamic themes. The towers consist of a 350m Office Tower and
a 305m Hotel Tower with 400 bedrooms, both connected by a central podium which is home to
the Boulevard, a unique and prestigious shopping destination which was voted Mall of the Year

occasion.

The Lounge, located in the spectacular atrium of the Hotel Tower on Level 10, features zesty

Mosaico comes alive with cosmopolitan Mediterranean all-day dining on the Lobby Level of the
Hotel Tower, offering a stunning breakfast and lunch buffet and a delightful à la carte menu with
an Italian touch in the evenings. The decor is Mediterranean, a feeling captured by the mosaic
flooring, light timber panelling and glass features. The restaurant’s large French windows extend
the Mediterranean pavement bistro atmosphere out into the Lobby; alternatively guests can sit on

The Pool Bar at the outdoor swimming pool area offers a phenomenal selection of juices,

Located on the Lower Level of the Boulevard, Scarlett’s is a themed restaurant and lively
cocktail bar specializing in wholesome American, English and Tex Mex favourites. The perfect

Southern American style providing a warm and welcoming atmosphere to the restaurant’s
spacious interior.

The Agency is a modern wine and tapas bar and the place to experience a choice of up to 70

On the Lobby Level of the Hotel Tower, The Rib Room specialises in Wagyu and other prime
