Company Overview
Mercedes-Benz (German pronunciation: [mtseds bnts]) is a multinational division of the German manufacturer Daimler AG, and the brand is used for luxury automobiles, buses, coaches, and trucks. Mercedes-Benz is headquartered in Stuttgart, Baden-Wrttemberg, Germany.

Mercedes-Benz traces its origins to Karl Benz's creation of the first petrol-powered car, the Benz Patent Motorwagen, patented in January 1886 and Gottlieb Daimler and engineer Wilhelm Maybach's conversion of a stagecoach by the addition a nana a petrol engine later that year.
Mercedes-Benz is one of the most well-known and established automotive brands in the world, and is also the world's oldest automotive brand still in existence today.

MBRDI is the largest Research and Development center of Daimler AG outside Germany and contributes in the areas of Computer Simulation (CAE), Design (CAD), Electrical/Electronics and IT-Services. Research and development engineers at MBRDI assess the performance and reliability of various sub-systems and contribute to product development in all the stages of the lifecycle.Organized in extended teams, the engineers collaborate with our partners in the Research & Development Centers and Business Units in Germany, Japan and the USA. To prepare the employees for an effective collaboration in distributed teams across cultures, MBRDI provides languages-classes as well as intercultural trainings and workshops.

Mercedes Benz Passenger Vehicles sales in 2012-13


On the 10th of October, Mercedes Benz will roll out their first locally manufactured M-Class at the Chakan plant India. Mercedes Benz sales during the month of September 2012 reach 123,358 units thus beating the September 2011 record by 2.0%. Year to date sales stand at 964,926 units, making it the best year for the company.

The company has already received 70,000 orders while their GLK, M Class and B Class are also getting their fair share of attention from buyers across the globe
Mercedes Benz B Class is seeing increased sales with over 14,722 units sold in September 2012.

Future Plans
Mercedes has plans to introduce a smaller SLC which will have a V6 engines, output between 350-500 horsepower, torque about 650 Nm Mercedes will introduce the SLK Gullwing with doors that rise from the top. It will have regenerative breaks. It will go from 0 100 km/h in 5 seconds. The SL 63 AMG which will come out in 2013 will have large alloy wheels, quad exhausts, a V8 engine and will be available in two versions the 544 bhp and the 571 bhp. Mercedes will launch a sister-car to the CLS the CLC. The design has been inspired from the CLS-class. It will be a four-door coupe. It will be a grand tourer. The Mercedes Benz A-Class was also spotted. This is a 5-door hatchback that looks pretty sporty.
