INTRODUCTION
The objective of this project is to design a simple ,easy to install ,microcontroller based circuit to monitor and record the values of temperature ,humidity, soil moisture and sunlight of the natural environment that are continuously modified and controlled in order optimize them to achieve maximum plant growth and yield. The controller used is a low power, cost efficient chip manufactured by ATMEL having 8k bytes of on- chip flash memory. It communicates with the various sensor module in realtime in order to control the light, aeration and drainage process efficiently inside a greenhouse by actuating a cooler ,fogger, dripper and lights respectively according to the necessary condition of the crops .

MOISTURE DETECTOR
A transducer is a device which measures a physical quantity and converts it into a signal which can be read by an observer or by an instrument . The sensors used in this system are : Soil moisture sensor(transistor amplifier) Light sensor LDR (Light dependent resistance) Temperature sensor (LM 35)

LIGHT SENSOR
Light dependent resistance also known as photoconductor or photocell is a device which has a resistance which varies according to the amount of light falling on its surface.
TEMPERATURE SENSOR
National semiconductors LM35 IC has been used for sensing the temperature. It is an integrated sensor that can be used to measure temp. with an electrical o/p proportional to the temp.. The temp. can be measured more accurately with it than using thermistor.
COMPONENT USED
LM35 AT89S52 RELAYS LM7806 RESISTORS CRYSTAL OSCILLATOR CAPACITORS LED TRANSFORMER LM3914 LM358 ULN2003 ETC.
No self test system to detect malfunction of sensors. Requires uninterrupted power supply Facility to remotely monitor the greenhouse is not possible.
