Liberty-STAR 3
The Liberty-STAR III is a voice communication system. It allows operators to communicate over radio channels and line based circuits. A multitude of features enhance and augment these basic communication operations. Current Liberty-STAR markets include: Air-Traffic Control, Command and Control, Marine Communications, and Programmable Switching.

Resource Duplication
Each COP is responsible for 4 PPs (DAPs or QCOLs). PPs 2, 3, 4 and 5 are serviced by COP A (PP1 is not counted) PPs 4, 5, 6, and 7 are serviced by COP B. Should one COP fail - the other takes over for PPs 4 and 5 only.

Larger Systems
For larger systems the COPs shelves and cabinets can be linked via E1 bridges. The E1 Bridges (also called rings) carry audio between the COPs in the same column.
