    Legalism
    this approach is also known as normative for obvious reason Considers as too restrictive and circumscribed

    Antinomianism
    frees the Christian from the obligations of the moral law too liberal and unconventional, which may lead to anarchy and moral chaos

    Situationism
    Fletchers preferred approach to the problem of morality The moral norm depends upon a given situation, but whatever this situation may be, one must always act in the name of Christian love.

    What is Christian love?


    3 Types of Love

    Erotic Love
    primarily, it refers to heterosexual relationship it usually occurs in the first stages of a man-woman romantic relationship

    based more on physical traits strong feelings toward another

    Filial Love
    a love based on give-and-take where two people benefit each other in a mutual way refers to the affection that binds a parent to his or her child, a brother to his sister, and so on.

    Agapeic Love
    refers to ones care and concern and kindness towards others. love that is totally selfless CHRISTIAN LOVE it is characterized by charity, respect, and responsibility towards the other

    Why not eros or philia?


    these two are biased and partial e.g. A surgeon may decide on slowly and painlessly ending the life of his own grandmother, under the pretext of mercy killing, while in fact the surgeon is simply in a hurry to get his inheritance from her.

    Proposition 1
