Swine Flu Power Point.
Swine Flu Power Point.
• The W.H.O (World Health Organization) asked countries around the world
to step up their surveillance of influenza because they fear that the
outbreak could spread to other countries.
• In Mexico more than 1000 people are ill and the Mexican government has
isolated patients and inspected homes, also the mayor of Mexico city has
cancelled all public events until further notice. Dr. Margaret chan, director
general of the W.H.O says that it’s to early to announce a full pendemic
alert. The organization uses 6 phases to categorize the risk of such an
outbreak but right now we are at phase 3. Dr. Chan says that the symptoms
include fever, body aches, coughing, sore throat, vomiting and diarrhea.
It’s said that H1N1 spreads the same way as a common flu, coughing,
sneezing, so always wash your hands.
• - I think that you probably don’t have to worry about
it. If you have children or are pregnant, then it may be
a good idea to get vaccinated if you want to be extra
safe, but keep in mind that the virus can (and some
say is has) mutate into a different strain. If you really
want to be healthy, it goes back to the thing that
nobody wants to consider: diet and exercise.
• The really important one is eating fruits and
vegetables as the main portion of your diet-those are
what keeps you healthy.
• I am not saying be a vegetarian, but making sure
you eat several servings of fruits and
veggies.
