COURSE DESCRIPTION
This course presents an overview of the design and
development of an information system.
The course will focus on tools and techniques like SDLC,
prototyping, and CASE tools (ERD, DFD,), that the
programmer/analyst can use to design and develop
information systems.
Tools for describing data structure design (data
models), input/output design, and program
specifications will also be presented.
Other important skills for the system analyst such as
fact-finding techniques, feasibility analysis, cost-benefit
analysis, and project management will be surveyed.
