Introduction

A single silicon chip that has input, output and


memory devices embedded in it.
Due to their compact size, low cost and simple design
aspects microcontrollers are very popular and encroached
into human lives and have become indispensable.

Why bother learning about it?

There is no electronic gadget on the earth which is


designed without a Microcontroller.
Ex: communication devices, digital entertainment,
portable devices etc
