    This report will give an idea about the overview of the bank, it also
    has the objectives, management, vision and mission and also give a
    clear idea about my topic which is determinants of dividend policy.

    I also described literature review, hypothesis , methodology and


    most importantly the data analysis part etc.

    I had develop the research report and also create a conceptual


    framework .

    Background of Bangladesh commerce bank

    Bangladesh Commerce Bank Limited was established by the act number 12


    of 1997, passed by the Parliament of the Peoples republic of Bangladesh.

    The Bank formally started operation from 16 September, 1999.

    The Bank has 42 branches and also owns the membership of Dhaka Stock
    Exchange (DSE).

    My task as an Intern

    The internship period was three months in this three month I observe
    their works and gather knowledge about the real working place.
    I worked in the bank mainly account opening and customer service
    section. The duties that I have been performed in my internship period
    are describing as follows:
    Account open
    CRM
    Balance checking.
    Cheque book issue.
    Cheque lot entry.
    Giving information to the customer how the account is open.
    Introduction:
    Problem statement

    Shareholders and potential investors look into a company's capability to


    initiate a dividend.
    A sound dividend policy is important for investors who value the profit
    stability of the company.
    Dividends may give an indication about the overall health of the
    company.
    Scope of study:

    The annual reports for the period 2007 -2014 were analyzed.
    Determine the behavior of firms dividend payouts ratio in Bangladesh.
    The study considered a total of 5 listed Banks in the Dhaka stock exchange
    market.
    Purpose of the study

    The main objective of this paper is establish the determinants of


    dividend policies in Bangladesh Banking Sector.

    HYPOTHESES

    H0 1: There is no association between the profit of firms and dividend


    payout of listed firms in Bangladesh.
    H0 2: There is no significant association between firm Lagged Dividend
    and the dividend payout of listed firms in Bangladesh.
    H0 3: There is no significant association between revenue growth and
    the dividend payout of listed firms in Bangladesh.
    H0 4: There is no significant association between leverage and the
    dividend payout of listed firms in Bangladesh.
    H0 5: There is no significant association between liquidity ratio/cash flow
    and the dividend payout of listed firms in Bangladesh.
    DESCRIPTIVE ANALYSIS
    Conclusion

    Using data derived from the financial statements of firms listed on the
    DSE during an eight-year period.
    The results show positive relationships between dividend policies and
    profitability, Revenue growth, the results suggest that, profitable firms
    tend to pay high dividend.
