 Established in 1990.
 It became a law in 2009.
 It protects the rights of people with disabilities.
 It prevents discrimination against them and
provides all their requirements in public Areas.

from discrimination in services, programs,
And activities.
 It regulates to prevent discrimination
by state and local government.
 Any costs should be paid by the state
or the local government.

 It is a device or a tool or a system that
helps students with learning Disability to
strength their functional capabilities .
 Such as: graphed organizer, Intel
reader, kurzweil 3000, and many
others.
 Those disabilities include physical conditions, autism,
ADHD, etc…

have disabilities such as: deaf or hearing problems.

 “Alt” tag is a term that is used to make the image in a


text clear for the screen reader.
 “Alt” tag adds accessibility to web pages by making
images accessible to people who has visual problems.
 So when you add an image to his website or Microsoft
office, add alt text to provide access to the content of
the image.

Avoiding flashing content

 In accessibility, blinking/flashing content in documents


should be avoided because it can change or move of
the page which can disturb the people.
 Also some people can lose their concentration.

 There are many features in technology that helps


students with special needs.
 “Read&write” chrome is an application that is
created by Google which makes the text of the
documents accessible.
 It is one of the accessibility features.

which helps the users to control the mouse gestures.
 it can help by using the mouse and navigating to open programs
and other documents.
“sip-and-puff" technology
 “sip-and-puff” is used by students with disabilities who don’t use their
hands,
 By inhaling in a tube to send signals to a device, such as; computer ,
tablets , mobile phones , or any other system.
 Also, it can be used for navigating wheel chairs and for the people
who have severe physical disabilities.
“Gotit” technology

 “Gotit” technology is a software to helps students


to improve their reading and writing capabilities.
 It provides help starting from elementary school
till high school.
 Also it can correct the spelling and grammar
errors in any text.
It is important to make any text or presentation or web
page accessible to make every thing for people with
disabilities easier to use.
