• A man-made narrow body of water
connecting two larger bodies of water

• A natural stream of running water that


flows into a larger body of water
• A River has FOUR (4) parts
– Source: where the river starts
– Tributary: contributes water to the river
– Mouth: where the river ends
– Delta: fertile soil at the mouth of a river
