Global Migration: ETE, Jesilyn

This document discusses global migration and its political, economic, social, and cultural factors. It defines international migration as people crossing borders between countries. While migrants send billions in remittances back to their home countries, these funds do not significantly influence key areas like education and healthcare. Additionally, global migration results in "brain drain" as it removes qualified young workers from sending countries, with some regions in Africa and Asia losing a third of college graduates. The loss of professionals like doctors has also been detrimental. Finally, the document notes that human trafficking from global migration is a huge profitable industry, earning syndicates and corrupt officials billions each year.
