    1) The Highline in Seoul, also known as Seoullo 7017, is a 1.5 kilometer elevated park and walking trail built on a disused elevated railway line. 2) Designed by Dutch architecture firm MVRDV, the Highline aims to regenerate and connect places near Seoul Station that were fragmented by roads and rail lines. 3) The Highline features over 24,000 native Korean plants and trees housed in cylindrical concrete planters of varying sizes and heights, lit up at night to create a scenic walking experience for Seoul's residents and visitors.

    design practice founded in
    1993.
    The name is an acronym
    for the founding members:
    - Winy Maas (1959),
    - Jacob van Rijs (1964)
    - Nathalie de Vries (1965).
