Introduction of Apple
 Apple Inc. is an American multinational technology company
headquartered in Cupertino, California, that designs, develops, and sells
consumer electronics, computer software, and online services. It is
considered one of the Big Four of technology along with Amazon, Google,
and Facebook
 Apple was founded by Steve Jobs, Steve Wozniak, and Ronald Wayne in
April 1976
 . Within a few years, Jobs and Wozniak had hired a staff of computer
designers and had a production line.
 Apple went public in 1980 to instant financial success.
 , Apple shipped new computers featuring innovative
graphical user interfaces, such as the original Macintosh in 1984, and
Apple's marketing advertisements for its products received widespread
critical acclaim.

 First, it introduced a new framework called CreateML that app makers can
use to train AI models on Macs.
 Apple’s phones come with new chip technology with a focus on helping
the devices understand the world around them using artificial intelligence
algorithms. The company says the improvements allow the new devices to
offer slicker camera effects and augmented reality experiences.
 Apple uses deep learning to detect fraud on the Apple store, to extend
battery life between charges on all your devices, and to help it identify the
most useful feedback from thousands of reports from its beta testers.

 It determines whether Apple Watch users are exercising or simply

network.

of those AI powers can pull those things off while protecting privacy as
closely as Apple does.

 Apple with its iCloud offering is attacking the consumer facing digital
content big data problem. Big Data is challenging on many fronts from the
insights (e.g., analytics and query optimization), to the practical (e.g.,
horizontal scaling), to the mundane (e.g., backup and recovery).
 The iCloud service is a cloud offering that would allow users to store
digital files such as photos, MP3 music, videos and documents in the cloud
and access them from Internet-connected devices like iPhones, iPads,
iPods, iMacs and others.
 Apple shows a neat way to address the Big Data problem in personal cloud
management.
Use of BA in Apple
 Apple now has loads of data on how customers use their iPhones,
MacBook's, and iPods, which gives them unprecedented information they
can then use when designing new products or the latest versions of existing
devices. The entire point behind using big data in this manner is to improve
the customer experience. This also allows Apple to test out new features
beforehand and determine what consumers would prefer before releasing a
product to a mass audience.
 Apple Watch has the potential to revolutionize not just wearables in
general but data gathering. Apple can now capture data on what customers
do during the day. This is mostly done as a way to measure and improve
people’s health. Sensors can collect information such as how many steps a
person walks, their temperature, how much they eat, and numerous other
factors that are then sent to Apple’s data warehouse for careful analysis.

With the SAP Analytics Cloud mobile app for the iPhone and iPad,
you have access to analysis tools anywhere and anytime. This app
connects to the SAP Analytics Cloud solution and enables you to:

Introduction of
Samsung was founded by Lee Byung-chul in 1938 as a trading
company. Samsung entered the electronics industry in the late
1960s and the construction and shipbuilding industries in the
mid-1970s; these areas would drive its subsequent growth Since
1990, Samsung has increasingly globalised its activities and
electronics; in particular, its mobile phones and semiconductors
have become its most important source of income. As of 2017,
Samsung has the 6th highest global brand value.
Use of AI in Samsung
 Virtual Personal Assistants (VPA):They are developing VPA technologies
to enable natural and engaging conversation between our devices/services
and the user. to understand human dialog through voice recognition, carry
on natural conversation, translate and interpret various languages.
 Visual Understanding use by Samsung. This technology has many uses,
such as product recognition on mobile phones, user recognition in
consumer electronics, and visual inspection for manufacturing.
 On-Device AI: Most of the current AI technologies depend on cloud
services. However, to reduce latency, ensure privacy, and provide AI
services anywhere, any time, we need on-device AI capability.
 aiMo delivers better sound directivity, as well as more realistic ASMR
sounds, without the need for professional equipment.
 , MEDEO “instant video making service,” allowing creators to
simultaneously shoot and edit live videos. The service uses AI in order to
recognize scenes and context, automatically adding video effects, music,
and pre-recorded videos to your live stream.
Use of AI in Samsung
 a hearing assistant called Snail Sound. By using an app and earpiece, the
service conducts feedback via hearing tests to figure out the user’s desired
sounds. From here, it conducts AI-based suppression and amplification in
order to boost the desired sounds.
 a perfume app, called Perfume Blender. It essentially lets users make their
own perfume with a “compatible device,” then lets you share the recipe with
others via a mobile app
 CES include an auto-adjusting monitor to help users maintain the correct
posture, an “AI desk light
 Users will be able to ask Bixby questions, and it will use context awareness
to automatically adjust answers based on a specific question. Bixby will also
be able to integrate with an intelligent home, allowing it to control Samsung
devices, other Internet-of-Things (IoT) devices, and life-on-demand
services.
