RESULT AND DISCUSSION
• Based upon the above data we can conclude that girl students of Minority girls college are
not the first generation users of internet, they as well as their family members are active
internet users.
• Smartphone is the basic device used by student for internet access. Although their online
behaviour is satisfactory as they are concerned about safety but their awareness related to
cyber crime is not satisfactory.
• Most of the students are not aware with different kind of cyber-crime, many of them don’t
know that India has separate law for cyber crime as well as they are also unaware about
where to report cyber-crime.
• Most of the student felt a need to know more about cyber-crime.
• Hence we can say that there is a need of awareness programme related to cyber-crime
among the girls student because they are very prone to cyber-crime; not only their
parents are concerned about their safety, they too don’t feel safe on internet. If more
awareness programmes would take place the girl will develop the understanding of cyber-
crime as well as cyber-security and then this can be eliminated.
