What is invitation?

An invitation is a request, a solicitation, or


an attempt to get another person to join you
at a specific event
Social Function

To invite someone, attend/come an


event.

 Receiver/To: nama orang yang dituju/yang diundang
 Body of invitation/isi undangan: Isi undangan biasanya
berupa hal hal berikut ini:
Subjek : Nama Acara
Day or Date : Hari dan tanggal
Time : Waktu yang ditetapkan
Place : Tempat dimana acara tersebut diadakan
 Sender/from : Orang yang mengirim undangan

Kind of invitation
There are 2 types of invitation: formal and informal invitation.
■ Formal Invitation
Formal invitation it usually originates from institutes,
companies, and kind of it.

■ Informal Invitation
Informal invitation is personal invitation given to a friend,
family, etc.
Formal Invitation

Formal invitation is an invitation which follows a


dignified form, tone, or style in agreement with
the established norms, customs, or values
The format of a formal invitation:
• Put the organization or host’s logo at the top of the
invitation
• Write the host’s full name
• Extend the invitation, such as “request your presence” or
“cordially invites you to attend”
• Provide information about the event, “a breakfast”, “an
award ceremony”, “reception”
• State the purpose of the event, “in honor of…”
■ Provide the date of the event
■ Write the time of the event in full
■ Provide the location of the event and its street
address (venue)
■ Provide special instructions (if any)
■ Include your RSVP (please respond) information
