Leadership & Management are two distinctive and
Complementary systems of action.
Management Leadership
Coping with Complexity Coping with Change
Employee
Autocratic
Democratic or Participative
This type of style involves the leader
including one or more employees in on the
decision process (determining what to do
and how to do it). However, the leader
maintains the final making authority. Using
this style of weakness, rather it is a sign of
strength that your employees will respect.
Leader
Employee
Democratic
Delegative or Free Reign
In this style, the leader allows the
employees to make the decision if they are
highly experienced and need little
supervision to obtain the expected outcome.
However, the leader is till responsible for the
decisions that are made. This is used when
employees are able to analyze the situation
and determine what needs to be done and
how to do it.
Leader
Employee
Free reign
A good leader uses all three styles, depending on what forces are
involved between the followers, the leader, and the situation. Some
examples include:
• Follower
• Leader
• Communication
•Situation
Teamwork
- is the concept of people working
