Conclusion

The major variations for costs between cast-in-place and precast


occur in the transportation and equipment , one can reduce the
transportation cost by having site nearer to pre cast industry

The study revealed that, on average, the precast concrete was 10%
expensive than cast-in-place concrete construction, especially for
large scale production.

Since pre cast concrete has reduced the life cycle period by 33 %,
on-site waste reduction ,speed of construction, and quality of work
done, it is preferable to opt for the pre cast concrete In place of cast
in situ concrete

The study also revealed that after 7 years , Cost increments


drastically reduces to 2% because of no equipment costs
