E Tabs Presentation Final

The document provides details about analyzing and designing a three storey reinforced concrete building using ETABS software. It includes the proposed building information, architectural drawings, design considerations, modeling the building in ETABS, defining load patterns, and assigning loads to structural elements. The group will present how they used ETABS to design the beams, columns, slabs, and stairs of the building.

4 Introduction
In regards to this presentation, we highly noticed that how much ETABS is
important for all Civil Engineers. This is not because of we are finding the ways to
get easier but because of we want to precise all works we need to do. We found that
ETABS is comprising with four main parts namely,
1. Modelling
2. Loading
3. Analysis, and
4. Design.
Each and every single parts of ETABS make us to earn newly hardworking and
effort which cannot be available by one and only manpower. What we mention here
is how we attempted for this presentation and to introduce the processes of our
building which has come out from our imagination.

Beam Design
For fc′ = 2500psi , fy = 40ksi
ρb = 0.85 β [fc′/fy][(87/ (87+fy)]
= 0.85 x 0.85 [25/40][(87/ (87+40)]
= 0.0309
ρmax = 0.75ρb = 0.75 x 0.0309 = 0.0232 (2.3%)
21
ρmin = 3(fc′)1/2/fy = 3 x (2500)1/2 /40000 < 200/40000 = 0.00375 < 0.005
Thus ρmax= 2.3% , ρmin = 0.5%
ρ actual > ρmax Thus O/S (increase conc: dimension)
ρ actual … ρmax (increase section)
ρ actual … ρmin (decrease section)
