Scriptural Message:
◦ Exodus 20:18
"When the people saw the thunder and
lightning and heard the trumpet and saw
the mountain in smoke, they trembled
with fear. They stayed at a distance"
Fr. Al’s Message:
◦ Homily, April 26, 1990
“One who has this habit of prayer can say, “I and
Jesus are one.” One who prays constantly as did
Jesus is always conscious of this loving presence
of Jesus in His life. He is always conscious of the
presence of a loving friend who is Jesus. This
friend is not outside. He is not beside you. This
loving presence, this loving friend is in you, in
your heart. He is with you day and night.”
Video Analysis
Questions to answer:
(Oral Recitation)
1. What does the video shows?
2. What is/are the goals of the company?
3. What product/s could they be able to give us?
Objectives:
◦ Define electricity
◦ Define electrical power and electrical energy.
◦ Differentiates electrical power and electrical energy
What is
?
◦ a fundamental form of energy that occurs naturally
and is expressed in terms of the movement and
interaction of electrons.
Where are this electrons can be found?
In an ATOM!
An atom is the smallest particle characterizing an element. All
matter in the universe is made up of a combination of different
atoms. Atoms are made up of protons (+), neutrons (0) and
electrons (-).

Unlocking vocabularies!
Electrical current
◦An electrical current is the movement of
negative electrical charges (electrons) through a
conductor (electrical wire, metal foil, etc.). In an
electrical circuit, the current flows from the point
where the electrical potential is highest to the point
where it is lowest.
Unlocking vocabularies!
Electrical charge
◦An electrical charge is produced when an atom
loses or gains an electron. When there are more
electrons than protons, the charge is negative. When
there are fewer electrons than protons, the charge is
positive.
Unlocking vocabularies!
Electrical system
◦(In a context of building), a network of
conductors and equipment designed to carry,
distribute and convert electrical power safely
from the point of delivery or generation to the
various loads that consumes electrical energy.
Unlocking vocabularies!
Work
◦A measure of energy transfer that occurs
when an object is moved over a distance by
external force.
TWO MAJOR TERMS ASSOCIATED
WITH ELECTRIC AND
ELECTRICAL SYSTEMS
Electrical
Electrical Power
Energy
Electrical Energy
• is defined as the overall work done in an
electrical circuit.
• energy required to generate electric
current.
Electrical Power
• is defined as the rate at which work is
done on an electrical system.
• is referred as energy consumed/generated
per unit time.
