    influence of continental
    cuisine in nepal

    This report has been written to find out the
    problems which is created by the continental
    cuisine in Nepalese cuisine .
    The study was undertaken with the help of
    Restaurant which has follow the continental
    cuisine .
    The main findings were the local products which are
    not in used and the palate of people .
    The main significance of this finding is to used own
    local products rather then others by using the
    different cooking methods in local products .

    Abstract :
    Continental cuisine , is a cuisine which is
    referring to the cuisine of Europe and other
    countries . It includes Europe , Russia ,
    New Zealand, Britain , Australia , Oceania ,
    latin America and cuisines of North America
    which derive substantial influence from
    continental settlers in those regions.
    As, there we cannot see any chinese and
    indian cuisine in Continental cuisine .

    Introduction :
    Baking : This cooking method is used to make
    cakes , pastries pies etc .
    Grilling : Food items like chicken, fish , beef ,
    vegetables etc are mostly made by this method in
    continental cuisine .
    Stewing : This is a process of boiling meats and
    vegetables with other ingredients in a slow cooker .
    Roasting : It is the process of making roasted
    continental dishes. In this method meat and
    vegetables are roasted in an oven or grill.

    Methods of cooking in continental


    cuisine :
    As this continental cuisine has influence in Nepal .And
    most of the Restuarants are open as continental
    cuisine . Because of this, our Nepalese food has been
    disappearing day by day . Even though , Nepalese
    people are taking interest in continental cuisine rather
    then local products .Although , the ingredients which is
    found in Nepal is not in used instead of using local
    products people bring the ingredients from foregin
    countries , it means there is high chance of lost in
    business as well as country have to bear problems in
    economic condition.

    Result :
    While , looking towards about the
    continental cuisine there is a big discussion
    about Nepalese and European cuisine . As,
    I found that according to restuarant most
    of the people wants continental cuisine
    rather then Nepalese because in Nepalese
    cuisine we only found dal ,bhat and
    Tarkari . So, People wants to take different
    items and wants to change their pallate .

    Discussion :
    By knowing about the difference in
    Continental and Nepalese cuisine and its
    influence in Nepal I came to the
    conclusion . If we fusion the Nepalese and
    continental cuisine then we can get
    another food or item . Even , our local
    product be in used . As well as , we can
    produce our own products by using the
    cooking method of continental cuisine .

    Coclusions :
    As being the culinary student , student or
    employee have to come with their own
    idea . As they can take help from internet
    or with their seniors . Even , they can
    have an idea from different culinary books
    .
