 The infrastructure development needs a projected
investments requirement of USD 1.5 trillion in the year
2007-2012 .
 The investment in infrastructure in India has increased
from 4.9% of GDP in 2002-2003 to 6% last fiscal
Impact of recession on
Infrastructure
 Adverse impact on the infrastructure companies as it
disturbs the financials atmosphere for the companies
which are in the growth stage
 Growth declined from 5.2% in June, 07 to 3.4% in June,

 In December 2008, Construction industry shrunk.
 The report shows that the construction industry has
suffered more in the recession than any other industry
according to association officials.
 According to the most recent data, the unemployment
rate among the construction industry is at 88% for the
month of November 2010

Impact of recession on Madhucon
 As such, Madhucon was not much affected
by recession
 Net profit came down nearly by 3 million
from Rs.472.46 million in 2007-2008 to
Rs.469.09 million in 2008-2009
 Again in 2009-2010 net profit came down
by 12 million to Rs.457.77 million from
Rs. 469.09 million in 2009.
