Walking is the transfer of
weight from one foot to
another with one foot in
constant contact with the
floor.
running
Running is the transfer of
weight from one foot to
another. During the
weight transfer both feet
are briefly off the floor.
Hopping
Hopping is the transfer of
weight from one foot to
the same foot with a
spring action of the foot.
Skipping
Skipping consists of walk
(step) and a hop in a
uneven rhythm. A skip
alternates sides.
Jumping
Jumping is the transfer of
weight from both feet, to
both feet with a spring
action into the air.
Galloping
Galloping consists of a
combination of a walk
(step) and a leap in an
uneven rhythm.
Leaping
Leaping is the transfer of
weight from one foot to
another with a longer time or
non support and pushing off
with a spring to land on the
other foot.
Sliding
Sliding consists of walk
(step) and a leap. One leg
lends and the other leg
chases in uneven rhythm.
