E-Panchayat - Objective

To leverage ICT for:

•Decision making support system for Panchayats,

•Transparency, disclosure of information to citizens, social audit,

•Better and convergent delivery of services to citizens,

•Improving internal management and efficiency,

•Capacity building of representatives and officials


Components of e-Panchayat
Panchayat Enterprise Suite (PES)

A suite of Core Common Applications developed to cater to
various aspects of Panchayats’ Functioning including
planning, budgeting, implementation, accounting, monitoring,
social audit and delivery of citizen services like issue of
certificates, licenses, etc. – collectively called PES
Applications.

• Built on Open Source Technology


• Available free of cost to all states/user department.

• Integration of PES applications as per the need

• Implemented Single Sign On to access all applications.

• Mainly used by State’s PR deptt., ZPs, BPs and GPs.

• NAD aims to keep a stock of all the assets created/controlled/


maintained by the Rural Local Bodies (RLBs) i.e. Panchayats
at district, intermediate and village level; Urban Local Bodies
(ULBs) i.e. Municipalities, Corporations, Town Areas and
Line Departments in the country. It assigns a code to each
asset for its unique identification leading to effective creation,
maintenance & utilization of the assets.
