TEAM BUILDING
• When individuals with similar interest , attitude and
taste come together to work for a common
objectives, a TEAM is formed,
• Every individual contributes equally and performs
his level best to meet the team targets and achieve
the organisational’s goal.
• For every team member, his team should come first
and everything else later.
• Personal interests must take a backseat.
• Team building is a management technique used for
improving the efficiency and performance of the
workgroups through various activities
The best-known Scheme for a Group Development or Team
Forming was advanced by Bruce Tuckman in 1965.
Initially, Tuckman identified four stages of group development,
which included the stages of forming, storming, norming and
performing .
A fifth stage was later added by Tuckman about ten years
later, which is called Adjourning. It is believed that these
stages are universal to all teams despite of the group’s
members, purpose, goal, culture and so on.
