* Zomato is a restaurant search and discovery


service founded in 2008 by Deepinder Goyal and
Pankaj Chaddah.
* For 180,500 restaurants in 36 cities. It is currently
in 11 Countries (Including India) and plans to be in
22 new countries in the next two years.
* The name “zomato” is taken from word tomato.
ACHIEVEMENTS

* On 21th March 2016 . Zomato ranks as the


top 2 startup for India in the startup ranking .

New Delhi: The food safety and standards


authority of India (FSSAI) has issued revised
guidelines that directly impact online food
and grocery operators such as bigbasket as
well as food delivery platforms like swiggy
and zomato.
Major Challenges

* According to a January 28 report in The Times


of India, Internet backed food panda has not
found a buyer even with a bottom price tag of
$10-15 million.
* The company laid off 300 people in December
2015 about 15% of its workforce. In September
2015, Tinyowl had fired 100 Employees in its
Mumbai and Pune offices.

* The users could’t display their ads on their


social networking profiles.
* Promoting the ads through feature ads,
banner mgmt.
* Security configuration for content.
