COMMUNITY INCLUSIVE
LAKE FRONT LUXURY
APARTMENT
Since a lot of people have been moving to bigger cities, the need for residential
places like apartment complexes is much needed. Alongside that, a lot of large
buildings and commercial sites get built as well, leading to a lack of residential and
communal spaces. Not only that, but a lot of competitors will be surfacing to help
accommodate people who are planning to move into the city.
A luxury apartment is a type of apartment that is intended to provide its occupant
with higher-than-average levels of comfort, quality and convenience. They are large
and spacious and situated in premium locations.
WHY LAKE SIDE
The proposed project is on the LAKESHORE, on the edge of in the lake tana Since,
this residential complex won't be only catering to the needs of domestic high end
society but will also serve internationally. It had so many potentials.
Also, understanding the complexity of the land and responding directly to its unique
context. Also, to study the needs of the high end society and planning according to it.
BACKGROUND STUDY
The current generation of local apartment and condominium buildings are mostly
business modeled, where
• everything is small, limiting flexibility of space, limiting household size
• Less concern about livability, poor indoor thermal comfort, poor aesthetic
quality
• Took most of them away from the natural amenities
• Less concern about sustainability
So mostly the people who can afford and require luxurious life would prefer large
residential villas, which would also conflict with the land value around.
PROBLEM STATEMENT
•The people living in apartments are unable to interact with each other like they do in
villas.
•poorly provide livability to the consumers.
•Current quality of condominiums and apartments are leading residents to quit such
kind of living to look out for single unit villa typologies.
•Achieving sustainable environments and livability in and around these residential
buildings becomes a very challenging issue.
AIM OF THE PROJECT
To research and analyze the term Luxury and the constraints/challenges developed
by the unique context of the land “lakefront” selected and design luxury based
residential complex Alongside the lake front. By applying the principles of “good
density”—mixed, use, well-connected environments with high-quality placemaking.
OBJECTIVE OF THE PROJECT
•To analyze the architectural characteristics of the local, to be incorporated while
designing.
•To research and analyze the unique context of the land, understanding its
complexities and designing with its consensus.
•To understand the term Luxury and its harmony with architecture and designing to
the needs of the high end society.

features is necessary to rake in more residents. Luxury apartments come with multiple
amenities that you do not usually find in regular apartments. For example, a luxury
apartment usually has a fitness center, pool…
