presentation.

short summary of your company, your
business plan and your startup vision to
your potential investors to secure funding.

COMPANY OVERVIEW

╸ Start by clearly and concisely stating


what your business or product does.

╸ Include the company’s name, logo and


slogan.

THE PROBLEM

╸ Describe two or three issues/problems


you discovered in your industry or
market that your product will tackle.

THE SOLUTION

╸ Share the solution to the problem that


you identified.
╸ Explain specifically what you are offering
and to whom (products, software,
services, a combination)

OPPORTUNITY
╸ Explain exactly who your target market
is (main characteristics only).
╸ Describe your market size and
opportunity for growth. Use data to
demonstrate that there is a need for a
solution to this problem (include
statistics, demographics, and external
reports).

╸ Describe the actual product or service
your business is selling.
╸ If it’s a physical product, add
professional photos of your product from
different angles.
╸ If your product is an app, online tool or
service, consider adding screenshots of
its most unique features.

╸ Describe clearly and quantify to the


extent possible the 3 key benefits your
product or service provides and how
they help solve the problem or need
your target market has.

THE BUSINESS MODEL

╸ Explain how your business sells its


products and services and how it
generates revenue streams (how you
make money: commerce and retail,
subscriptions and usage fees, licensing,
advertising)

THE COMPETITION
╸ Explain who your strongest competitors
are, and what sets you apart from them.
╸ Make your differentiators (competitive
advantage) as straightforward as
possible.
╸ Presenting a competitors matrix can
help you get your point across in a more
effective way.

THE TEAM
╸ Describe the key players on your board
of directors or management team, if you
don’t have one yet, present your
founding team.
╸ Ensure to highlight the following about
the team:
a) Names
b) Titles (optional)
b) Members’ photos

THE FINANCIALS (Fundraising)
╸ Discuss how much capital you need to
reach your goals and what you will use
the funds for.
╸ Share what capital you have already
raised.
╸ Project what sort of return possible
investors can expect should they choose
to contribute.
