    Siri
    A familiar Apple accessibility feature,
    siri is very useful. Siri can be summoned
    by speaking “Hey Siri” or by holding a
    button. Users can voice their questions
    or commands to siri or they can type
    them out. Siri can provide the user with
    much information and assistance.
    Spoken Content

    Under the accessibility settings is a section called “Spoken


    Content”. With this feature the user is able to prompt the
    device to speak the screen or selected text on the device so
    that someone who is unable to read the content or the screen is
    able to hear what is on the screen in front of them. There is
    also an option for typing feedback so that the users typed
    content can be read back to them.
    Assistive Touch

    Assistive Touch is a feature for users who have a hard time using a
    touch screen or pushing buttons. With this feature you can use a
    joystick or other accessories to help the user make certain actions
    on the device. It can also be used without an accessory. It is done
    by changing how certain actions on the device are performed such
    as adding shortcuts that require less maneuvering or allowing
    simple taps or custom gestures in place of longer touches or
    buttons to complete actions.
    Subtitles & Captions
    for Videos

    When used with supported apps, users can


    have subtitles or captions on the videos
    they watch on their devices. Users with
    language barriers can watch videos in
    english with the subtitles of their native
    language, also users who are deaf or hard
    of hearing can use SDH closed captioning
    which is specially formatted for those
    individuals.
    Voice Over
    Speech, Braille, and VoiceOver
    Recognition This feature is great for users with visual
    impairments, not only does this feature tell you
    what is on your screen, but also guides you as
    you move from app to app, allows you to set
    certain gestures to do certain actions, and you
    can set the language, pitch, and verbosity. You
    can also set up onscreen braille or handwriting
    in this feature, so if you cannot type on a
    regular keyboard you have options.
