THE PROBLEM AND IT’S


BACKGROUND
INTRODUCTION
Covid-19 has proven to be a major disruptive aspect of human
life across the world. Notably, there has been a significant shift
in a normal way of life with the people being required to isolate
to prevent further spread of the disease. In education, the
restrictions have made it imperative for the adoption of online
learning. As the pandemic has been rapidly and dramatically
altered our lives, this drove many schools to cancel in-person
classes or the face to face and even the graduation
ceremonies. Many school and colleges continue to rely on a
virtual learning to keep students as well as the teachers and
professors safe. Online learning effects everyone for the
students virtual classes may worsen their mental health.

SCOPE AND DELIMITATIONS
This research study aims to determine the
effects of Online Distance Learning (ODL) to
the mental health of the students. This
research study will mainly focus to the
effects of Online Distance Learning (ODL) to
the mental health of the participants.

SIGNIFICANCE OF THE STUDY
1. Students - It able to reach the students concern
about new set up of learning.
2. Teachers - It will help to teachers to understand
their student’s behavior.
3. Parents - Parents of the students can learn how to
support their child amidst this trying times.

DEFINITION OF TERMS
The following terms are operationally defined by the researchers
1. Blended Learning – a style in which students learn via electronic and
online media as well as traditional face-to-face teaching.
2. Mental health – includes our emotion, psychological, and social
wellbeing. It affects how we think, feel, and act as we cope with life.
It also helps determine how we handles stress, relate to others and
make choices.
3. Online distance learning – distance learning is an educational process
where students receive instruction through online class, video
recording, video conferencing, or any other audio/visual technology
medium. It enables people to receive education without having to be
physically present in a classroom.

Research Methodology
 
RESEARCH DESIGN
Descriptive research design was used in this
study which is best serve to answer the
questions and purpose of study. It also
involves gathering of data through google
form. The responses from the respondents
were used to assess the online distance
learning and its effects to the mental health
of the students.

RESPONDENTS OF THE STUDY

The selected ¹st year students of pup


binan are the respondents of this research.
Per course have five (5) respondents with a
total of thirty (30) respondents.

The instrument used in this research is
survey through google form that was used by
the researchers to gather data.

DATA GATHERING PROCEDURE

1) Identify the students who use oline


distance learning as their education tool.
2) Send to them the survey and
questionaires.
3) Collect their answer to determine what
are the effects of online distance learning
to their mental health.
