17. Id X and the state
Though envisaged as the state capital during the statehood agitation, the Dixit Commission for the
search of a new capital noted that the interim capital then is a more suitable place as the
permanent capital owing to the factors like its distance from national capital, centralised population
and safety from natural calamities when compared to X.
Rightly said, X bordering NH 87, is 150 km away from Ramnagar the nearest railway station and
58 km from the nearest airport at Gauchar.
But subsequent governments have adhered to the promise of greater infrastructural development
including roads, water supply, helipads and airstrips to pave X’s way as the future capital of the
state.
A session of the state legislative assembly held on 17 and 18 November 2016 for the first time in
the newly constructed, grand Legislative assembly building at Bhararisain, some 14km away from
X is also a move in this direction.

Congress. He introduced the rejected proposal for a uniform civil code to be included
in the Constitution of India in 1947.
After Stalin's purges and takeover of Eastern Europe, X moved away from Socialism
and became a supporter of free market economics.
In August 1960, X along with C. Rajagopalachari and N. G. Ranga formed the
Swatantra Party. X was one of the few politicians who opposed the nationalisation of

Traditionally itinerant, these Romani people of Central Europe arrived
in Germany and Austria in the Late Middle Ages from India, eventually splitting
into two groups: Eftavagarja ("the Seven Caravans") and Estraxarja ("from
Austria"). X Romani is the variety of Romani spoken by these people
in Germany, France, Austria, some parts of northern Italy and other adjacent
regions.
The popular notion among the X themselves is that the term X may be derived
from X’, a homophonic variation of X and the name of the people of a region
in Pakistan, named so due to their region’s geographical proximity with a
prominent river.
