WHAT IS A HUMANOID ANYWAY?

• Humanoid refers to any being whose body structure


resembles that of a human : Head, torso, leg , arm ,
hand
• But it as also a robot made to resemble a human both
in appearance and behavior.
• The difference between a robot and Android is only
skin deep, looks exactly like a human being outside
but with internal mechanics of humanoid robot.
SOPHIA THE WORLD’S FIRST HUMANOID

• SOPHIA is the world’s first
humanoid robot to receive a
citizen ship from Saudi Arabia.
• She was activated on April
19,2015.
• Became a citizen of Saudi Arabia
on October 2017.
• She was able to display more
than 62 facial expression.
