Status Bar
• A status bar is an area at the bottom of a primary
window that displays information about the current
window's state (such as what is being viewed and

Computer Icon
• Files, programs, web pages etc. can be
represented using a small picture in a
graphical user interface. This picture is known
as an icon. Using an icon is a fast way to open
documents, run programs etc. because
clicking on them yields instant access.
The Recycle Bin
The Recycle Bin is a location
Where deleted files or folders
are temporarily stored in
every version of Microsoft
Windows since Windows 95.
The Recycle Bin allows users
to recover files that were

the desktop.

system.
• Step 2 − On encountering the request from an
application, operating system sends a response to
requested service.
Windows Explorer: Viewing of File
The File Explorer features a new ribbon toolbar, similar to the one featured in the
recent versions of Microsoft Office. This ribbon contains buttons and commands
for the most common tasks.

Concept of menu, Using right Button of the
Mouse
The right mouse button is often used to open contextual
menus, which are pop-up menus that change depending
where you click. For example, if you right click on the
desktop, you may see a menu pop up that includes
"Change View Options" and "Change Desktop
Background." If you right click on a folder, the menu might
include options such as "Open" and "Properties." Certain
programs, such as video games, may use the right click to
perform other functions, such as firing a secondary
weapon in a first-person shooter. Most programs,
however, use the right click to open contextual menus.

Windows Setup dialog boxes (interactive) or an answer file (unattended),
or a combination of the two. Windows Setup configurations include
adding a product key and configuring a disk.
• Apply answer file settings in the windows configuration pass to configure
the installation behaviour and user experience.
• Configure the disk.
• Copy the Windows image to the disk.
• Prepare boot information.
• Process answer file settings in the offline servicing configuration pass.
The settings are applied to the Windows image before that Windows
image boots. When the computer first boots, any optional components,
drivers, updates, or language packs are processed.
Notepad
• Notepad is a simple text editor for Microsoft
Windows and a basic text-editing program
which enables computer users to create
documents.
