Surveyor will hand master a copy of the complaint
Ship will be inspected to determine cause of complaint

IF NO CAUSE FOR COMPLAINT FOUND
the surveyor will thank master for co-operation
If the ship was delayed in any way SAMSA will pay
compensation
The single complainant will lose deposit
IF THE COMPLAINT IS GENUINE
The shipowner will pay all inspection costs
The surveyor will order the master to rectify the faults
An inspection will be arranged when faults are fixed
Any delay will be for the shipowner’s account
