    BANQUET TABLE AND CHAIR

    SET UP
    ROUND
    -30” round table for 2 persons -60” round table for 8 persons
    -36” round table for 4 persons -72” round table for 10 persons
    -42” round table for 5 persons
    -48” round table for 5 persons
    -54” round table for 6 persons
    RECTANGLE
    - 6 ft table with 6 chairs ( 72” x 38”) - 6 ft table with 8 chairs ( 72” x 38”)

    - 7 ft table with 8 chairs ( 84” x 38-42”) - 7 ft table with 10 chairs ( 84” x 48”)

    - 8 ft table with 8 chairs ( 96” x 38-42”) - 8 ft table with 10 chairs ( 96” x 38-42”)

    The standard banquet table length and width (for rectangular tables) is 29-30”

    Points to remember in table spacing:
    -Allot of 18 inches from the edge of the table to the back of the chair for comfortable seating.
    -To save floor space, arrange square tables diagonally.
    -A minimum of 42 inches between square tables, with chairs back to back, gives a person to push out
    their chair, but no space for service to pass through .

    -To have a service aisle, a minimum of 60 inches between square tables is needed, with the chairs back
    to back, providing around 26 inches for service aisle
    -When setting up in small areas, a minimum of 24 inches may be placed between corners of
    diagonal tables to allow customers access through with service aisle
    BANQUET SET UP
    Classic banquet style table placement consist of long rows of rectangle
    banquet tables with seats on both sides. This setup will allow for the most seats in a
    room. Notice in the picture an extra person is added at the "joint" of each table. The
    setup allows for a head table to be placed at the front of the room, like shown in the
    illustration.
    The U shaped setup works well for presentations where there will be interaction between the
    guests, and the speaker. The speaker can walk up and down the hollow box inside the "U" interacting
    with the guests. This style setup can be used for meetings, dinners, or watching films.

    When setting up "U" shaped, you may place a video projector etc. at the front of the hollow part of the
    "U".
    The classroom style setup is great for orientations or any other presentation when the guest will
    need to be writing/eating while observing. Our seminar tables are most suitable for saving space with
    this setup. Seminar tables have a smaller width than standard banquet tables
    Theatre style banquet setup is the most space saving design. If your event is a speech or lecture,
    this is the setup for you. You may administer this setup for watching films, or performances. Banquet
    chairs are faced towards the head table in front of the room.

    CLEARING
    When clearing a table consider the following:
    -make sure that all guests have finished the course.
    -clear from right side but avoid reaching across the table.
    -walk around the table clockwise, keeping the cleared plates in the left hand away from the guests and
    avoid over stacking in your arm.
    -clearing plates with flatware requires crossing the fork over the knife to prevent utensils from sliding
    off onto the floor or worse , the customer.
