Cooling System Coolant (ELC) - Change PERSIAPAN PM 2000 PADA 416F Hydraulic System Oil - Change • Open the engine access door on the top of the machine. • Remove the hydraulic tank filler cap. • Open the drain valve for the hydraulic system, which is located under the machine on the right side. Allow the oil to drain into a suitable container. Close the drain valve • Change the hydraulic system filter. Refer to Operation and Maintenance Manual, "Hydraulic System Oil Filter - Change • Inspect the hydraulic tank breather that is located on a hose from the overflow container. Replace the breather, if necessary • Fill the hydraulic system oil tank. Refer to Operation and Maintenance Manual, "Lubricant Viscosities" and Operation and Maintenance Manual, "Capacities (Refill)". • Maintain the hydraulic oil level in the sight gauge to the green area on the gauge. Do not overfill the hydraulic tank. Check the hydraulic oil level with the loader on the ground and with the backhoe in the transport position. • Inspect the gasket on the hydraulic tank filler cap for damage. Replace the gasket, if necessary. • Install the hydraulic tank filler cap • Close the access door. Receiver Dryer (Refrigerant) - Replace • Purge the system. See Air Conditioning And Heating Service Manual • Open the engine access door located on the left side of the machine • Disconnect the Air Conditioning lines at the cab and at the radiator shroud to prevent excess loss of Freon. • Disconnect the two wires (2) from the low pressure shutoff switch (3) • Disconnect hose assemblies (1) and (4) from the receiver - dryer. • Remove the two clamps and receiver - dryer (2) from the machine. • Install the new receiver - dryer in the reverse order of removal • Check the seals on hose assemblies (1) and (4), and replace if necessary. Cooling System Coolant Sample (Level 2) - Obtain • Obtain the sample of the coolant as close as possible to the recommended sampling interval. Supplies for collecting samples can be obtained from your Caterpillar dealer • Cooling systems that are filled with Cat ELC should have a Coolant Sample (Level 2) that is obtained at the recommended interval that is stated in the Maintenance Interval Schedule. • Submit the sample for Level 2 analysis.
