History of Cariňosa
 A popular folk dance that was introduced to the
country by the Spaniards when they arrived in 16th
century.
 Cariñosa dance is a popular folk dance
perform throughout the Philippines
 These was named in honor of Maria Clara.
 During the Marcos regime, the Cariñosa was
named the national dance of the Philippines .

• Cariñosa was introduced to the
country by Spanish colonizer in 1569.
• Panay island is the original home of
Cariñosa located in Visayan Island
Group.
