Expressions of apologizing and responses
(I’m sorry, pardon, forgive me, that’s ok, Never mind dsb.)
 Short form (I’m, You’re, That’s, It’s dsb.)

Examples:

a. Edo          : I’m sorry for coming late, Sir.


Teacher     : That’s all right. Go to your seat.

b. Reno : I'd like to apologize for my trouble making.


Gery : It’s all right. Don’t do that again.
EXAMPLES
1. I'd like to apologize for my trouble making.
(Saya akan meminta maaf atas kesalahan yang telah diperbuat.)
2. I must apologize to him for my late arrival.
(Saya harus minta maaf kepadanya atas keterlambatan kedatangan
saya.)
Formula

Objective pronoun

Example: George apologizes to him.


•If you apologize for something you have
done, or apologize for something
someone else has done, you say you are
sorry about it (intention).

Example:
Brad apologizes to Simon for his rudeness.
Brad apologizes to Simon for doing rude.
Spelling
Spelling is the forming of words from letters
according to accepted usage.

Examples:
1. I am really sorry. I could not accompany
you to the book store.

Capitalization
Capitalization is the writing of a word with
its first letter in uppercase and the remaining
letters in lowercase.
Rule-> Capitalize the first word of a
document and the first word after a period.
Example:
•Rudi: I’m really sorry. I have to accompany
my mom to a doctor.
Desta : That’s alright. Anyway we can play
next time.
Punctuation
Punctuation is used to create sense, clarity and stress
in sentences. You use punctuation marks to structure
and organize your writing.

The period (.) example: I apologize for my mistake.
The comma (,) example : I am sorry, mom
The exclamation mark (!) example: look at that book!
The question mark (?) example: May I borrow your
novel?
The apostrophe (‘) example: That’s okay
