GYMNASTICS
•  Physical exercises designed to develop strength and coordination
• It is a type exercises developing or displaying physical agility and
coordination

prescribed acrobatic feats

balance, and body control
• This event used strength, flexibility, and agility to undertake high-intensity,

• MENS GYMNASTICS -This gymnastics event has been on the Olympic
schedule since 1924.
• It's a type of physical agility and coordination workout that helps you build or

• ROUTINE-It is combination of skill elements on one apparatus or event
• STUNTS- Activities in the forms of play that test one's self on flexibility,
agility, balance, coordination, strength and endurance
• Athlete- A person who is proficient in sports and other forms of physical
exercise

• It is a type of Gymnastics designed for kids that want to learn basic

AEROBIC GYMNASTIC
• A combination of gymnastics skills with dance in a fast-paced, fun and energetic gym
sport. Performing to music
• Can be performed as a solo gymnast or with friends, both providing for a highly
entertaining and crowd-engaging sport
• It is a sport that combines elements of ballet
• This event in Gymnastics manipulate one or two pieces of apparatus: rope, clubs, hoop,
ball and ribbon
• The sport was originated from traditional aerobics and was included as a sports
discipline in FIG (The International Gymnastics Federation) in 1994.
• It is a fast-paced, exciting, and dynamic gym sport, mixes gymnastics skills

• HORIZONTAL BAR-High bar is another name for this equipment.
• HORIZONTAL BAR-It is an apparatus used by male gymnasts in artistic gymnastics.
It traditionally consists of a cylindrical metal (typically steel) bar that is rigidly held
above and parallel to the floor by a system of cables and stiff vertical supports.
• PARALLEL BAR-Acrobats employed this event in artistic gymnastics in ancient
Greece and Rome, as well as during the Middle Ages.
• UNEVEN BAR-It is made of a steel frame. The bars are made of fiberglass with wood
coating, or less commonly wood.
• In early 1950s gymnastics, routines in this event mostly consisted of simple circles,
kips, and static balancing components and holds
• BALANCE BEAM-Both the apparatus and the event are sometimes simply
referred to as "beam".
• BALANCE BEAM- The English abbreviation for the event in gymnastics
scoring is BB
• BALANCE BEAM- Bow is a term used to describe both the apparatus and
the occurrence
• Parallel Bar- In ancient Greece and Rome, as well as during the Middle Ages,
acrobats used this event in artistic gymnastics.
RHYTHMIC GYMNASTICS
• It is traditionally used only by male Gymnasts
• This gymnastics event was originally featured at the 1896 Olympic Games
in Athens.
• It was created to distinguish freestyle performances from military drills.
ACROBATIC GYMNASTICS

• It is a competitive gymnastic discipline where partnerships of gymnasts


work together

• The floor is a properly prepared workout surface that is considered an apparatus in
gymnastics. Gymnasts, both male and female, use it.
• A spring floor is used in all of gymnastics to provide more bounce, and also help prevent
potential injuries to lower extremity joints of gymnasts due to the nature of the apparatus
• Pommel horse is an artistic gymnastics.
• The rings, also known as steady rings or still rings.

performed using the apparatus
