Objective:
Recognise the seven characteristics common to living things and their
importance for the survival of organisms.

Describe that cells are the basic units of life – all living things are made of cells.
Cell to Organism
Cell is a basic unit of life
Ingestion & assimilation – the process by which food substances are taken into the cells of the body after they have been
digested and absorbed.
Metabolism – The sum of all the chemical & physical changes that takes place within the body.

Examples: The skin is one of the human body’s largest organs. Brain, Heart, lungs are some examples of human organs.
Organ System: Set of organs that all work together to carry out the same function .

Find out the names and functions of the different organs that are part of one system in the human body.
