Definition
● The present simple is used to express a
habit/action that is repeated in the present or
a fact, which is obvious.
● Ex: I wake up at 5am every day

Structure
Present simple tense structure with the verb
Tobe:
● Affirmative sentences:
S + am/ is/ are + N/ Adj
Ex: I am in Japan. 
● Negative sentences :
S + am/ is/ are + not + N/ Adj
Ex: They aren't in Rio in the summer.
Interrogative sentence? :
.Am/ Is/ Are + S + N/ Adj?
    .Yes, S + am/ is/ are.
    .No, S + am/ is/ are + not.
Ex:  Is he your boyfriend?
WH-Question:
WH- + am/ is/ are + S +…?
Ex: Who am I?
• Simple present tense structure with regular verbs
Affirmative sentences:
S + V(s/ es) +…
Ex: I like ice-cream.
Negative sentences :
S + do/ does + not + V(inf) +…
Ex: She doesn’t like him.
Interrogative sentence? WH-Question:
WH- + do/ does + S + V
Do/ Does + S + V(inf) +…? (inf) +…?
Ex: Do you live here?  Ex: Where do you live?
