Literary Criticisms
 Psychoanalytic Approach

The ego could no longer restrain the id. It

results to the incestuous encounter of the
character in the short story.
Literary Criticisms
 Masculinity Approach

The first and the middle part tells us about how

the father and brother touched Inocencia, on
how they acted after those encounters.

How the boar was grunting hotly, impatiently

nudging the uninterested sow.
Literary Criticisms
 Feminist Approach

At the end of the story, Inocencia was able to

resist her father and brother when they tried to
lift her up, accusing them of being pigs.

She killed the large boar in the pigpen.
